Romans 5 (SOAP Study)

I want to share what I've learned from one of my favorite passages of scripture through the SOAP study method. So here goes :)

S- (scriptures that stick out to me) 1, 2, 4, 5, 7-8, 10, 16, 19, 20

O- (my observations about those verses)

1) Because of Jesus' sacrifice and our faith, we have been made right with God.

2) Our salvation is an undeserved priviledge that gives us reason to rejoice.

4) Rejoice in suffering! (similar to James 1:4)

5) God sent the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His great love for us.

7-8) Christ died for us although we are terrible sinners!

10) God promises us Salvation.

16) Adam and Jesus are similar. But Adam brought condemnation upon man while Jesus brough our being made right with God.

19) Adam brought separation; Jesus brought redemption.

20) God doesn't give up on us- His grace just gets more and more abundant.

A- (application of this passage of scripture to my life) share God's love with others, remember to thank God daily for His gift of salvation through His precious Son

P- (prayer) Thank you Lord so much for sending your Son so that I can live. Thank you for your abundant love that never grows weary.
