The SOAP Method

StartFragmentToday, I wanted to share the SOAP Bible study method using Acts 4. I was reading this chapter a few days ago, and there were so many truths that God re-iterated and so I felt I should share those with you and show you how I use the SOAP method. Go ahead and read Acts 4 so you can follow along with me:) S- Scriptures that stuck out to me. Acts 4:3-4, Acts 4:8-11, Acts 4:12, Acts 4:13, Acts 4:17, Acts 4:19-22, Acts 4:24-30, Acts 4:31, Acts 32-34 O- Observations that I made from these verses. Acts 4:3-4- God can use bad things, going to jail in Peter and John's case, to bring about good for His kingdom. Acts 4:8-11- The apostles gave complete glory for what happened. They were also prepared with scripture and ready to respond to the criticism of the council. Acts 4:12- Salvation is only through Christ!! Acts 4:13- God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things through Him. Acts 4:17- The devil is always trying to use people and things to try to stop God's power. Acts 4:19-22- Peter and John were bold about their faith and would not give in and would not stop talking about Christ. Acts 4:24-30- After God had protected the men, all the believers praised God. Acts 4:31- Through talking to the Lord, the people experienced the Holy Spirit's strength and power to preach His word. Acts 4:32-34- There wasn't strife between the believers, and they shared with one another and others. A- Applying this chapter of the Bible to my life.

• be bold about your faith

• be ready with scripture to fight the devil and defend your faith to non-Christians

• praise God for His power

• share God's word BOLDLY

• give ALL the glory to God
