StartFragmentToday is a good day to have a good day. I love saying that. But the thing is, I have to choose to have a good day-- it doesn't just happen magically. No matter what comes my way today, I have to choose to still be joyful and shine my light for the Lord. Here are some ways to make your day a good one:)

  • Start your day in Scripture. Psalm 28:7 says, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him." God is our strength even if a day is going wrong, so before you do anything else, jump right into His word for your source of unstoppable strength and joy.

  • Pray continuously. 1 Thessalonians 5:17- "Pray without ceasing." Have a conversation with Christ during your day. When things aren't going quite right, just talk to Him because He really does care. "Cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Remember that if He is for us, no one can be against us!!

  • Resist the devil. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." The devil wants to ruin your day (read 1 Peter 5:8) and is searching for ways to bring you down, so when he tries to tear you apart, resist him in the Name of Jesus. Remember, you are not a slave to him and the temptations of falling into his ways are not too strong! God will always, always, always provide a way out (read 1 Corinthians 10:13). A huge part of resisting the devil is turning away from your weaknesses that he can use to bring you away from Jesus. "And give no opportunity to the devil," Ephesians 4:27. Stay away from things that will pull you into your struggles. If you struggle comparing yourself with other, stay away from social media, for example.

  • Be kind. "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the prophets," Matthew 7:12. Showing kindness to others will tear away any reasons for them to bring you down. Also, being kind always gives me a happier attitude. If I have a hateful attitude towards others, my overall attitude for my day is probably going to be angry.

You can make the choice to have a great day! Trust the Lord to guide you through your day with a joyful spirit and love towards others. EndFragment
